The 'We Welcome' sign is the position we need, but without the truth and understanding needed to maintain it, our own efforts and strength will continue to fail us.
"Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me."
What Jesus is saying to us, is that there are only two sides in this world - right & wrong - good & evil - Him or satan!
There are only two types of religion in this world - Divine Accomplishment & Human Accomplishment - and only ONE can substantiate itself as DIVINE.
The perspective of the majority reading this, and rightfully so, may very well be, "Why Jesus and not one or all of the other religions?" Fair question!
The Christian faith is not seen as a 'religion' per se', but rather as a personal relationship with the living God and His living word that is inerrant and infallible, capable of substantiating itself as DIVINE; the religions of the world, however, were all founded by one man only, being idolatry not God, and therefore incapable of substantiating their claims as anything more than figments of imagination.
For example, if not for the grace of JESUS CHRIST LIVING GOD, the born-again Christian would be unable to love the Lord their God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength, as was the requirement prior to the arrival of the Savior of the world, because of being under the law at that time, and not under grace.
In other words, to avoid exhaustive detail, simply put, when the world was under the Law of Moses (OT), the people had to earn God's blessings - BUT - under grace that Jesus came to bring us (NT - John 1:17), by definition, grace being God giving us what we do not deserve, then and only then are we able to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, because of Christ in us who gives us the ability and strength to do so.
Therefore, as with the 'We Welcome' sign above, we need the inerrant and infallible truth of JESUS CHRIST LIVING GOD within us, in order to maintain the love all judge none suggested perspective; in our own strength, we will continue to fail - look at us today!
Jesus teaches us in John 15:5 "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."
Or Galatian 5:16-26 teaches the following with more specificity:
Living by the Spirit’s Power
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.
No man has a right to judge another. What someone chooses to believe, or the lifestyle they have chosen to follow, is no one's business but their own.
With that said, apart from inerrant and infallible truth as found the Holy Bible, that more than substantiates itself as DIVINE, where no other can make or prove such a claim, truth is truth. God created man in His own image, male and female He created them, Adam & Eve (to naturally multiply), and not Adam & Steve, or Eve & Sally, otherwise we wouldn't be here.
THEREFORE, just as we have no right to judge another, so those who choose to make alternate choices, must also understand and appreciate that they have no right to judge us, nor dictate to the rest of the world their own fallible ways by choice.
