Closing out the movie, it is quoted: "Every man is immortal - but those righteous are divine," thus further exposing the fallacy of man and his pride that leads him to his own destruction.
It's not that fantasy is not and cannot be a fun experience, as personally, yours truly loves a good action and/or fantasy/adventure movie; yet with a great appreciation that fiction is not reality! But Disney, Hollywood, and global movie-makers, however, not only do they need to make fiction appear real in order to sell their work, their primary objective of said work, is to turn the viewer into a believer that fiction is in fact our reality, yet to be discovered.
From the movie's closing quote as noted above, "Every man is immortal - but those righteous are divine," A/ if man was immortal, then why are they all dying and placed in graves, or turned to ashes in cremation? And B/ in perfect sync with the Quran, how does one define being good enough to get to heaven - or in the Immortal movie's case - righteous enough to be divine - and where is the evidence to support such claims?
Broadening the analogy, countless thousands around the world, all vaxxed to the max, are getting 'covid' (merely a cold/flu virus reclassified as covid), including within my own family, thousands dying as well, and yet the vaxxed remain convinced their is a pandemic, with zero evidence to support it, and unwilling to see PlanDemic. Man continues to believe only what he chooses to believe, with nothing but lies and mythology to support the path he follows.
Could there be a much bigger purpose going on that man knows nothing about?
My friend, Paul, puts it this way as he describes 'God's Anger at Sin:'
But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
So, in response to the question, "could there be a much bigger purpose going on that man knows nothing about?" the answer is a resilient yes!
Why would God be doing this? He's God and we're not! He's the Creator, we're the created! He's the potter, we're the clay!
One of the saddest and yet, most popular sitcom's over the years was called 'Young and the Useless,' or was that 'Restless!' I'm being somewhat facetious, but very serious - because evil, being the absence of God (the truth that sets a man free), is the very real demonic temptation of deception since the beginning that has been impregnating man with every kind of evil thought imaginable, and said sitcom noted, delivered as intended.
The objective of satan, by way of his minions who choose to bow down and worship him, with countless political, medical, and Hollywood world leaders already caught, imprisoned, or executed already, soon to be public knowledge, is to turn the truth spoken, as found in the living word of God, the Holy Bible, into being a criminal offense, hate speech - EVEN THOUGH IT SPEAKS TRUTH!
In closing, for this could go on for pages and pages, confirming man is in the wrong, not God, let us reflect once again to my friend, Paul acknowledging the Spirit of God.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
PS: The world can practice and boast of the likes of sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition - but the Holy Bible offering an alternative, is hate speech?
PPS: The world pretty much encourages 100% contrary to the likes of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - but the Holy Bible identifying the clear distinction between this and the contrary is hate speech?
PPPS: The world can propagate everything contrary to normal heterosexual relationships, including their discrimination against it, even as far as being abnormal, but the Holy Bible that speaks in defense of heterosexual marriages, is hate speech?
