We are invincible in Christ because of His inerrant and infallible living word, alive and powerful within all born-again Christians. We must live to boast not just of God, not just of Jesus, or Christ Jesus, but more profoundly and clearly of JESUS CHRIST LIVING GOD, because JESUS is His name, CHRIST is His title, HE lives, and HE is God.
I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be - Isaiah 43:10 I feel I'm speaking to deaf ears!
This is simply not a position up for debate or something even remotely considerable for challenge - AND YET we are falling and failing for lack of exercising His wisdom, knowledge and understanding, POWER & AUTHORITY granted and within us, thank you, Jesus!
What is your excuse as you justify away YOUR OWN FLAWS with the person looking back at you in the mirror?
Does Jesus not teach us "For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
To His church in Laodicea, God says (Revelation 3:15-19):
15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
We Christians are guilty of everything, AND THEN SOME, pointed out to each of the seven churches (Revelation 1-3), indeed wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked, of THE ONLY irrefutable, absolute truth known to man, engulfed in our own self-centered denominational pride and entitlement, granted by the devil, and not of God - as we have somehow interpreted His living word to say we are to bow down and not resist the devil!
As we are playing games, the devil is stealing all power & authority given us, for lack of obedience to and knowledge of the living word and its promises, thus resulting in anything pagan and satanic, swarming the globe and pouncing upon the Christian who has long become too proud and too weak to act upon the truth & power that remains dormant within.
How is it I can suggest, correct, advise, or point out weaknesses for attention or perhaps redirection to Pastor's Ronald, Edwin, Brian, Benjamin, Alfred, Augustine, Nicodemus, Chanti, Raju, and on and on, all from Third World Nations, who then confirm, act on and trust and embrace the truth pointed out, learning and growing as a result ... while pretty much EVERY Christian in my own part of the world, 9x out of 10, will have to argue or challenge every statement or suggestion made - when they are wrong according to the living word?
I'm not the one who is perfect, none of us are, only Jesus was, is, and always will be. And yet, to the Christians in my part of the world, the idea of being corrected or redirected, 100% according to ALL the living word, is the fault of anyone and everyone but themselves.
I know, Jesus, the Patriarchs, Apostles, and Disciples all faced these same challenges, yet cannot help but feel even more helpless, without employment or income, or eyes, ears, hearts, and minds, open to listen - as though all have fallen asleep. The Christian has become perfect as they are - and the people at large, the last thing on their mind is Jesus Christ Living God; allah yes; buddha yes; mysticism yes, hoky-poky yes; but Jesus, no.
Because of grace, we will be saved - but because of disobedience and our ungrateful attitudes, insisting on wallowing through life in the flesh rather than in the glory and wisdom of the Holy Spirit, we are in for a very long, trying, and dark journey on earth before heaven.
