God's Not Dead Series Falls Short of Defending Its Own Title

If you have ever seen the movie series ‘GOD’S NOT DEAD,’ even the first instalment only, it offers up a convincing worldly perspective in getting people to first base in reconsidering God perhaps... but Jesus, who is easily proven as God incarnate, is not given the bold spotlight deserved in said series, let alone in His church.

Better still, why is the Christian world, and in this case, its Christian movie producers, so reserved and/or cautious of getting beyond the sad, almost fearful boasting of the name Jesus; better still, His full and rightful title, JESUS CHRIST LIVING GOD, in whom the living word is 100% based from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21?

One Missing Piece - One Full and Rightful Title

Is JESUS not His name, born to live among us; is CHRIST not His title, the promised Messiah; is HE not very much alive, sitting at the right hand of Abba Father, awaiting His glorious return; is HE not God, the only God as confirmed in inerrant infallible text?

It appears WE THE CHRISTIAN and the church, become man's church, is somehow ashamed. Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ.”

Is the dying deceived world we live, in need of more religion and idolatrous fluff that finds itself immersed in philosophical opinion and perspective, debating truth against mythology and spirituality... or in dire need of BOLD LOVING TRUTH for the peace, rest, and eternal salvation that religious ideas, Hollywood fiction or god of this world cannot provide?

For example, in the first instalment of GOD’S NOT DEAD series, before the student moves into his first debate, he is pointed by a Pastor to Matthew 10:32-33 and Luke 12:48... and although appropriate for the benefit of the student himself, they are not the best choices considering he is about to defend why GOD’S NOT DEAD.

Josh Wheaton, played by Shane Harper, makes a few good statements such as: “No one can disprove God” or the quote ”If God does not exist then everything is permissible”... HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT defending inerrant truth, the living word Jesus has given us, but rather fighting philosophy with philosophy, perspective with perspective that both world and Christian continue to rely on as their sounding board; when the living God confirms in His living word that nothing is to be added and nothing is to be taken away from it... Revelation 22:18-19 | Deuteronomy 4:2 + 12:32 | Proverbs 30:6.

In other words, why defend inerrant, infallible, irrefutable, and indisputable truth, as found in the Protestant Holy Bible of 66 books only, with fallible worldly information?

If we are to boast we are to boast of Jesus from His living word. He is the light of the world (John 8:12). He is truth (John 14:6). He is the word and the word is truth (John 1:1-5) as found in the road-map given us in said Protestant Holy Bible that keeps us on course; His path... His understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6) and not out own!

John 1:1-5 teaches:

1 In the beginning the Word (Jesus) already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He (Jesus) existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him and nothing was created except through him (Jesus). 4 The Word (Jesus) gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. 5 The light (Jesus) shines in the darkness, and the darkness (satan) can never extinguish it.

John 8:12 teaches: “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

See the ‘Whole Armor of God’ which is the word of God/Jesus... Ephesians 6:10-17

WE THE CHRISTIAN everywhere... are encouraged take up the cross of JESUS CHRIST LIVING GOD... who is God incarnate... standing firm, using His full and rightful title in defending the Christian faith... as the cross, His cross, in no way, shape or form, requires anything remotely close to the philosophy or human perspective to defend itself; otherwise, it is man, not God drawing the conclusions; worldly sound board and not Jesus as our sounding board.

We can know... that the DIVINE CREATOR by INTELLIGENT DESIGN spoke the universe as we know it today into being, including WE THE PEOPLE, for Him and against Him with ‘Freewill’ to choose good or evil ... (Genesis 1-3)…

In this movie, atheist professor, Kevin Sorbo, makes reference to the world waiting on God as the world faces famine, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc... missing the simple fact that it is the devil and his minions choosing evil over God, abusing FREE WILL given, causing all global havoc... and thus why we should be sharing at every opportunity possible that Jesus always has our best interests at heart, using Romans 12:2, John 10:10, Jeremiah 29:11 to defend the ‘GOD’S NOT DEAD’ position.

We can know...that the true and only DIVINE CREATOR established every tribe, nation, people and language, setting them on their way across the earth (Genesis 11:1-9)... all speaking in their own tongue to discover Him without excuse... (Romans 1:20)…

We can know... the Protestant Holy Bible of 66 books only is God's inspired, inerrant, infallible, irrefutable and indisputable living word, as His Protestant Reformation became the global spectacle it did to separate truth from lies…

We can know... Jesus knows all things before they happen and that His living word will accomplish all as proclaimed (Isaiah 46:10) – as well as knowing all our needs before needed (Matthew 6:8/32)…

We can know... the CEO of the universe, brother, friend, and joint-heir to every Christian (Romans 8:29 / Romans 8:17 / John 15:15) is the only God and there is no other (Isaiah 43:10)…

We can know... God does not nor cannot lie (Numbers 23:19 / Hebrews 6:18 / Psalm 89:35 / Titus 1:2)…

We can know... God watched us from conception, growing daily in the dark of our mothers womb (Psalm 139) adding a DNA-specific plan, hope & purpose awaiting our fulfillment (Jeremiah 29:11)…

We can know... at salvation that we have been predestined (Ephesians 1:5 / Romans 8:29) becoming God’s masterpiece and prized possession (Ephesians 2:10 / James 1:18) and that we are not only redeemed (Hebrews 9:12) but sanctified, made holy (Hebrews 10:10) healed by His wounds (1 Peter 2:24) of all sickness & disease (Matthew 8:17) virus and plague (Psalm 91) and invincible against snake and scorpion venom while given power and authority over all evil (Luke 10:19) with the ability to resist/rebuke the devil amidst all attacks and temptations to live daily in victory (James 4:7)…

We can know... we can speak to any mountain (challenge) coming against us and defeat it (Matthew 17:20) knowing if God is for us nothing can be against us (Romans 8:31) because greater is He in us than he or anything that comes against us in this world (1 John 4:4)…

We can know... we are told we can pray for anything and if we believe we have received what we have prayed for it will be ours (Mark 11:24) because anything is possible if we just believe (Mark 9:23) while understanding also that such a gift is not some get-rich-quick scheme or crystal ball (James 1:5-8 / James 4:3)…

Therefore... when we ‘CAN’ know ‘ALL’ this... why on earth would WE THE CHRISTIAN give the slightest credence to defending Jesus, the living God, using the same philosophical terms and perspectives used by the world... when again, we have inerrant, infallible, irrefutable and indisputable text at our fingertips that cannot be discredited?

Romans 10:9-10 teaches: “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

Acts 16:31 teaches: “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.”

John 3:16 teaches: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
